post the job listing.

Yeah...like I'm going to post my place of employment on this place

I'll give you a hint...in Texas in the AI data center world the DFW and surrounding areas are getting into a massive compensation war. But I sure AF am not going to list my employer on this site

You’re paying independent operators their billing rates of $150/hr, and they’re responsible for self employment tax, their own insurance, tools etc. These guys are probably making like $60 an hour in reality, which is still really good, but WAY outside what you’re advertising.

You aren’t employing electricians for what a partner at a mid sized law firm makes

Brother, I don't know what to tell you but all in with per diem and their base rate and the OT (6 10s) they are in fact making more than 350

They’re billing more than $350, there’s a difference between what you bill and what you make.

But typical blue collar stuff, just like operators make $350 (when counting pto and healthcare and 401k match.

Dude. I'm the manager on the project. I'm telling you we're paying them that. And it's a lump sum project.

I don't know why you think you know more about this than me but I can assure you that you don't.

I understand that the numbers seem insane to you and they seem insane to me too. But they're real.

You have 20 posts. I've been posting here a long time and some people already know some personal details about me. I'm not posting my place of employment especially since I'm in senior management.

I believe you are paying them that much, I don’t know how to state it any more clearly than that. What you’re failing to do is recognize they bring home a third to 40% of that because they’re independent operators.

I know the difference between an employee and an independent contractor. If you are a manger and do not, you need to talk to your supervisor.

They're direct W2 employees that work for the same company as me

Again, I don't know why you think you have expertise here. You don't.

These are likely short lived pay increases

Larry Fink from Blackrock recently made a 30 million dollar donation to Texas trade schools with the intent of getting thousands of more qualified electricians trained in the pipeline

If it involves Larry Fink, it can't be good.

I said it was inclusive of per diem...which in this case is much more than what is needed to cover lodging

I'm not full of shite. Licensed JEs in the DFW metro and surrounding areas can being home north of 300K a year.

Your ignorance doesn't change that

The problem is when the brainiacs get into the trades, the trades will be flooded and then everyone is screwed

I’m looking at an invoice from late last year from one of the largest data center buildout contractors in the country. They billed senior superintendents at less than $140/hour. DFW buildout.

But sure
