Nothing will change until we have an honest discussion in this country

What is playing out now has played out over and over in my lifetime. From LA, to Charlottesville, Baltimore, Ferguson, and on and on. And every time it’s the same thing, a demand for “change”. But it’s obvious that people don’t want real change because very few are willing to have an honest discussion about the root problems that cause such racial strife in this country. As long as that’s the case, nothing will change. Until we can have an honest discussion on race, a discussion that doesn’t get shut down immediately over claims of “racism”, then nothing will change. It sucks, but it’s the cold hard truth. If you want real change, then we have to face some uncomfortable truths, both races, and there just are not that many on either side willing to do that.

This is one thing I was talking about. Another would be single parent homes and total disregard for education. Basically, what I meant was the only discussion anyone is willing to have is how bad, evil, and mean whites people are, how the system is “racist” and “white supremacy” has to be torn down. And if those things were true and real then that would solve the problem. But they’re not true. The vast majority of whites are not racist. There is no such thing as “white supremacy”. It’s not even close to being true. So we are seeking a false solution to a real problem. Thus, as things stand nothing will change.

I guess the OP wants socialism ? A black man or woman can have a great career and health. Seems to me that a few blacks want to blame whitey for some of their bad choices in life.
Color of your skin doesn’t keep you from succeeding in life. Their is a difference between working hard and giving up cause daddy ain’t around. I’m tired of my brothers playing the victim card. And companies like ESPN perpetuate this mentality and this pisses white people off.
Colin Powell and condeleza Rice and President Ombama made it in their lives. Anyone can if you really want it.
There is never going to be equality as long as you have competition in life. Competition makes this country stronger. Don’t aim to be the greatest athlete. Strive to be the greatest mathematician or scientist. No one is to blame for your choices except for you.
