What created this? There are specific governmental policies that created this situation.

There are people protesting saying he should feeL bad for it. We had a president say that his family didn’t build that. So, yeah, people outside his head are saying he’s an evil white man because his parents and he are successful

Quite the reach.

Show me where white middle class men who come from middle class families are consistently being referred to as evil.

This is such a goalpost move. Black folks have no issues with regular white people.

I feel like a lot of folks on this board don’t even have regular interaction with anyone other than white folks. It’s crazy to me that so many feel like they are hated.

This is what happens when you live in a vacuum. I was similar growing up in a small town but I’ve since figured out I was wrong about how others viewed me. Just don’t be a shithead and most people will respect you.

As I said above, most don’t give a shite about you.

More likely to get struck by lightning as a black
American than killed by a police officer.

Kill each other at record numbers

When it comes to aggravated assault, rape, and murder, a white American is many many many many many more times to be a victim to a black assailant than vise versa.

70 percent of black babies born out of wedlock.

There’s your truths. I’ll see myself out.

I’m sick of the victim mentality. People of all colors have every opportunity to better themselves in today’s America. Are people prejudiced? frick yes, plenty are. Are some people racist? Of course. But much fewer than you’d believe.

Im sorry, but if your life sucks, first look inward to yourself and to the people around you. Someone in that circle is keeping you down and it isn’t Uncle Sam.

It’s about police brutality against black people

Hard to imagine I had to type that out for a living human being

No, it's not.

Hard to imagine a poster of your intelligence believes that.

Racism isn’t the biggest issue. Police brutality is. Until police departments root out the psychos who are currently employed, the resistence to their heinous actions will keep strengthening.

How about actual crime statistics which paint a very different picture than what is being portrayed.

What about them? Yes, we all know the black community commits the most crimes. We all know the cops have to deal with these people 24/7. Does that give cops the right to abuse and murder black people?

The biggest problem is far right and far left. A moderate democrat or republican can see both sides and have those "honest discussions" that could lead to a common ground.

I attended grad school in NY, and for the first time in my life I lived and hung out with people with totally different views than mine. I always kept my opinions personal and private, but they would go off the deep end at times amongst each other. This was during the Bush administration. I never formally told them my affiliation, so they would try to bait me into discussing a current event topic. Finally after a year of living with my roommates they approached me on a view of a certain topic which was not polarizing. I told them three times that I did not want to talk about it, but they kept going in a supportive way to understand me. I finally gave my input and they all blew up teaming up on me with personal attacks, insulting my intelligence, etc. These people became my friends over time.

There is no respect for the opposite or alternative view. That is the problem.

So cops have the right to murder people because of these things?

Big view, bottom of page 3. This protest, like almost ALL protests... And wars, for that matter, is economically driven. And that is how it will be solved. If it is ever solved.

I'm conservative, white, Christian, college degree. I can't understand how blacks feel... Just can't. What I DO understand is why wealthy blacks aren't breaking in stores. Too much to lose.

Does that somewhat help?

So what key points should be brought up?

That cops are underpaid, and not trained to their job efficiently. Mandatory 200 hours combat training the first year(2x a week) and 100 hours each year maintenance. So many safe ways to apprehend someone. I recommend the mount to ommaplatta.

Not really because that’s not what these particular protests are about.

The word your looking for is empathy. You lack empathy.

Yes, I lack empathy in this instance.

That’s not ideal. And certainly not in line with you being a Christian, as you stated.

So if they took the policeman... And the other 3, and strung them up at 6 a.m. tomorrow, would the protests stop?

That would be your justice, right? Or is there something more?

Very little is ideal, when dealing with humans honestly. I'm not perfect.
