Booked River City Hit Squad for my wedding last month and they were awesome. Highly recommend.

Gaucho is a little pussy. I enjoy indulging him from time to time just to see when he'll give up like the sniveling little pathetic weasel faced boil-dripping beef fart-sniffing bubble butt, slug slimed, sack of rat guts in cat vomit, cheesy, scab picked finger bandage that he is.

El Gaucho is the resident Troll. Don’t take him seriously.

So she paid the remaining $2500 either before the band was supposed to play or after they didn't play and left.

Either way she's a fricking idiot for paying them.

Bro, as a professional musician myself (sludge metal) you don't realize how bad the cold weather can be when you have to play. Our fingers are our lifelines and if we hurt them because it's cold we could be out of a job

Just stop. I played outside for NYE in Baton Rouge (18 degrees) and was just fine. It was miserable, but I was getting paid to do a job.

We had Louisiana Spice play our December wedding and they brought the house down.

Then again, it was a December wedding and we held it inside.

Not sure how paying a band works but I imagine they all get the money before they get there. Generally with everything you pay an early deposit and finish paying before the service takes place.

And I assure everyone there is no other side to this story. I'm extremely close with people that attended and am acquaintances with the couple.

What? No. Generally with any service you may or may not pay a deposit but you don't pay for the entire thing BEFORE the service is actually rendered. Why would you pay $3000 for something you haven't even received? That's just dumb.

We use a contract for EVERYTHING. It includes weather stips, power supply needed, stage plot...all of it. And we've never had an issue. We're playing an outdoor Super Bowl party next wknd and it's supposed to be cold af but we have tarps, will be under a covered pavilion and the show will happen.

We did a big festival a couple of years ago. Nice big stage with a very high roof. The skies opened up...rain blowing in from the front. Get the first song done while practically facing the other way. Stopped for about 30 minutes. Rain slacked, we break into another song. Heavens opened again. We stop mid song. My guitar is soaked and I'm legit worried about it because it's a 2500.00 acoustic.

The guy with the fair comes up and says, forget it y'all. Pack it up. We do that, get paid but decided that we didn't give them a show so we take two acoustics, the lead singer and go sit in front of the one of the beer stands and played for an hour. Huge crowd around us. It was awesome. The fair president said yall could have took the money and went home. But you didn't. You'll always have a spot here.

We just enjoy performing and putting on the show. Unlike the Nola Dukes.

Damn those are some pussy looking mofos. My groomsmen would have rolled them up if that happened at my wedding. Luckily we had DJ Dr. Ice

She should small claim the frick out of them. Just take pics inside the tent showing everybody else being comfortable with the heater going.

He meant generally with wedding services. And that is true. You gotta prepay pretty much everything.

I'm jealous. I would kill to play in front of 200 people.
