We had the same band for our wedding two years ago and still have people say how great they were. Have your wedding inside next time.

I play for a local Baton Rouge band. The equipment is perfectly fine in cold weather. My fingers freeze up like a bitch but I trudge on. That's what this band should have done.

but a sludge metal bro said when it's cold he could get injured.... if a hardcore mofo like him can't do it it must not be safe right?!?

I'm asking because I'm curious. If you had an outdoor gig like this wedding booked, then it became unplayable for whatever reason; weather, temp, etc. Would you still make the booking party pay?

Idk what the standard is on that. I'd have a hard time making someone pay if we didn't play but could always fall back on passed up other gigs for this one.

But could always watch the weather channel and not pass up indoor gigs in january

Correct. I broke a nail and a guitar pick once when it was cold.

I didn't say we wouldn't play - As I Died Upon Her Grave will take any show we can get. And we'll blow the doors off too. We only get good reviews except for the time we got kicked out of Applebee's open mic

Wallace Hartley laughs at these pussies who can't play music in the cold for fear of their life, lol.

Mr Hartley was on the Titanic as the bandleader. You may remember hearing how he and his band played on as the Titanic was sinking.

Funny how those guys managed to play in that frigid weather on an increasingly unlevel deck but these arse-clowns can't even play a few hours on dry land in a heated tent.

If they didn't want to play then GIVE THE frickING MONEY BACK!!

If you want to be a pussy and back out then at least be decent and give them their money back.

Maybe the good reviews have gone to their heads, and they no longer feel the need to provide the same level of service? It happens.

just feel bad that this band is getting slandered here. For many musicians this is our dream

frick musicians like that guy.

Some people would kill just to book a gig.

They booked one, showed up to a WEDDING, played one song and left. You don't do that dude. They ruined someone's wedding. frick them. Now if there's more to the story, ok, but at face value, they agreed to a January wedding, they took money for it, they showed up, and then they bailed and kept all the money.

Don't defend them. That's bullshite.
