NOLA check in thread
Well looks like that decision to stay wasn’t great. Seemed like it was gonna go west of us then this morning I wake up and looks like we’re going to get slammed.

I’m uptown by superior seafood. Anybody else still in the area?

How bad are they expecting the winds to be in the N.O. area?

Left Lakeview yesterday for Mandeville. I really regret leaving my boat behind. Prayers for everyone who stayed.

Ya I’m in the lower garden district.
Will likely stay with a friend at the Odeon for the actual storm; come back to my place to patch/assess damage.

Get in your car and leave, now. Despite what you hear on TV you can probably get out for the next 4 to 5 hours.

Odeon is brand new. I have been curious how it will fare in its first big test.

I went to Destin Thursday night before knowing how bad today could be. Parents and grandmother refused to leave even with my siblings offering to get a beach rental so I flew back yesterday. I felt really guilty not being here.

In Kenner 2 blocks away from Lake Pontchartrain. Just got back from a quick bike ride to the levee and it is very choppy out there and this is just the beginning.

Guns loaded. 3 cases of water, several gallon jugs, dried and canned goods, first aid kits, 2 full propane tanks and about 30 gallons of gas.

Here we go.
