Aaron hill was an SEC player of the year in 2003 I think
Would have been incredible, but it looks like he made the correct decision.

Good for him
Schmidt probably has the best stuff and chance of being elite just needs to execute. With this offense the pitchers need to just not hurt themselves with free passes.
Honestly, college is better than pro ball now. Think about it, you can turn over your lineup every season and do not have to worry about contracts and players that get comfortable and lazy. You can process players in and out.

This is actually a crazy time when you think that there is more mobility in college than the pros
TigerLunatik - Used to go to the BR St Patrick's Day when I was going to LSU; always a good time

Maybe CJJ is trying to see who can be extended, who can pitch in the clutch, or who can figure it out on the mound and show composure.

I think CJJ and Nate have at least a clue about what is going on. This happens every year, I swear this board is not satisfied unless LSU goes undefeated, strikes out ever opposing batter, collects 40 hits per game and wins 40-0.

Most people associate Mardi Gras with Bourbon St., but I have young children and enjoy going to the parades and watching them catching throws and listening to bands. There are large areas along parade routes that are family friendly and you do not have to worry about drunken idiots. Obviously, there are still people who are drinking but it is not like Bourbon St everywhere.

Mardi Gras is not for everyone and that is okay, I just do not understand this boards obession with calling people names that do enjoy attending the parades.

To each their own
Buckeye06 - Do you think Ole Miss with Kiffin could have played with Indiana?

We will never know, but Kiffin could have won it this year if allowed to coach.
Do not have to be catholic to participate but it originated as a catholic celebration. Mardi Gras is the last day before lent. It is a party before you are supposed to fast and give up something.
K…….keep me posted

Reminds me of coach Jay Johnson. He never sleeps

ETA: spelling
Are you laughing or crying?

It has been awhile since UF has been competitive and your best chance was taken from you when Kiffin went to LSU.

This feels a lot like a look at me post
John somers, you keep saying "lapping everyone" and people are afraid. This feels like a coping mechanism for your insecurities.

Why do you care so much what other people that you do not even know think about LSU's recruiting class?

If you don't agree that is fine, you should do what all other adults do and ignore it. When did society become so soft?
Had a 5 and 3 year old and watched the game from the couch.

Was fun to watch though
With Tony V gone, college baseball is now a niche sport...... Got it

UCLA basically returned their whole lineup from last year and added a big bat and weekend arm to their roster. Not crazy to have them #1.

As stated before preseason rankings really do not mean much so we will know a bunch more half way through the SEC schedule.

Can't wait for baseball season.
I would think with Casan Evans continues and hope that William Schmidt has a jump similar to Kade Anderson. Plus they picked up some pretty big arms in the portal.

Should be another fun season
Honestly the Brian Kelly hire was more shocking because it was not expected. The Lane hire was confirmation that he wanted the position previously and that Nick Saban still thinks LSU is a top tier job.
Probably because he was throwing left handed for O and Jimbo. It looks like he switched to righty so he may get better.
