. Don't stick a ladder in the front of a crowd. What happened to the days of throwing your kid on your shoulders?
Also, as an adult, the fact you give a shite about catching the beads is absolutely embarassing

I’m the douchebag but you are blocking 15-25 foot behind you with those little shits up there. Move the ladders 6 feet off the curb like they are supposed to be.

They completely block views of the parade and sections of the neutral ground. It really is an a-hole thing to bring a tent out there
it's never been issue where we are at the corner of Camp and Nap

Why should OT Ballers care? Those not spending the holiday in Aspen will be watching from the balcony of their St. Charles Ave. mansions.

How the frick are they gonna legislate no ice chests? Are troopers gonna walk the whole parade and start rounding the thousands of them up?
Amazing how many people don’t understand what “between the curbs” means. Basically don’t put your shite in the road where bands can run into it, really not a complicated or insane rule

Not salty at all. It just seems like his priorities have been toward the wrong things over and over. It baffles me that they go after strippers, ice chests and ladders, but youll see plenty of articles of people being robbed, mugged, shot and/or worst yet killed. You have a depleted police force to begin with, so why not focus your manpower on the criminals that make people not want to come back? One of the main keys to New Orleans thriving is tourism. Do whatever it takes to make tourist old and yound want to come back.

This is the correct response.

Also, no tents will be allowed anywhere on the routes.
Don’t know why anyone would need a full blown tent anyway. You can still have the open tents that are just a roof.

Anyone who has family down in the big easy knows this is no Big Deal And will only impact the unconnected people. My family has major connections with the mayor's office and nope and already have assurances. In fact they already have a 400x400 spot reserved under police protection.

I'm not sure why everyone is pissy about this. Mitch puts out some type of statement every year saying this same shite. NOPD never enforces it
I guess you missed this part......

Major changes to the Mardi Gras safety plan includes no ladders, chairs, or ice chests between the curbs of the streets. Also, no tents will be allowed anywhere on the routes.

If that's so then this is a non issue. Canopies are all anyone really uses anyway.

For hours at a time? Ladder traps the kid in there and lets the parents hang out drinking on the ground below.
If you've ever been to a parade with little kids and a ladder, you know how valuable they are to parents.
I get wanting them on the curb though and away from the street.

Landrieu said that The New Orleans Police Department will be operation at 100 percent capacity starting February 2nd.
Let me translate that for you using Mitch's definitions we know from his testimony after the S&WB issues:
We know that when Mitch says "100% capacity" he means 100% of what is available and even what is available doesn't have to be working properly, so if in theory the NOPD has 1600 officers, and Mitch says they're at 100% capacity, what he really means is that 1000 officers are scheduled to work that night, but only 800 are going to show up and out of that 800: 200 are fully paralyzed quadriplegic and another 200 are seriously injured or without the use of their hands, but the remaining 400 healthy officers will be spread thin and concentrated in the least necessary areas.

You honestly think more cops will be patrolling for ladders than patrolling the quarter or other touristy spots? We get a balcony every Saturday afternoon before Endymion and throw down to the drunks and there's 3-5 cops at every intersection.
2 years ago, my friend got a drunk guy to whip his dick out for beads and a cop bolted directly over to him and walked him off.

Ladders chained or set up more than 24 hours before the parade on the route will be removed. [/b]
According to NOPD Police Chief Michael Harrison, major changes were made to Uptown parade routes. All Uptown parades except for two will make right turns towards the river instead of left turns towards the lake.
Neutral ground, or as some call it a median. And that's absolutely absurd and retarded. Jesuit and Loyola need to cut ties and run away from this idiot.
No ice chests? Whats next no drinking at mardi gras?
