My kids are too old for the big ladders, but my youngest will use a little step ladder that she puts in the street when the floats come by and can move it herself into the neutral ground when the bands come
my oldest is no where to be found...chasing tail and sneaking beer in the bushes if I had to guess

I'm telling you. They say this every year. And every year the tents are out all down St. Charles the day of parades. They just don't want them out during the day to save spots.

So they put out an entire press release to tell people about a new policy of not setting up in the street?
Yes? People setting up in the street blocks everyone and is an issue. A press release lets people know that it's not allowed.

As a father of a two year old, I will use our 6 foot ladder
But for this guy
quote:I will put my son on my shoulders. I am 6 feet, so now, the dumbass will be behind about 7 feet of something instead of 6........
Don't stick a ladder in the front of a crowd. What happened to the days of throwing your kid on your shoulders?
And hopefully he wont be too upset my 2 year old is catching his beads

It seems like the election was 9 months ago.
When is this dude planning on leaving?

What does “between the curb of the streets” mean? Is that Mitch for neutral ground?

But if she does, I fully expect you to go Ronald Gasser castle doctrine, and shoot anyone who enters your roped off space to tell her something

Well a couple of things.
One is I have zero expectation that anything coming out of the glorious mayors office makes any sense. Theres a long list of retarded things that Mitch has accomplished in his tenure. Its par for the course IMO.
Two is for the twenty something years I have attended mardi gras, I have never seen people set up in the street and block a parade. Granted it might have something to do with the uh clientele I was hanging out with however.
Third, will he apply this to cross streets blocked by the parade? Specifically along the uptown route there has always been people tailgating there. By clearing those spots out (that are not blocking traffic), he is making the parade route far more crowded.

Between the curbs of the streets, is actually called the street......
I've never seen ladders and ice chests and chairs in the streets, and the neutral ground is between two street curbs.
And knowing how much a slimy frick stick Mitch is, that wording is most likely not a coincidence.

I’m the douchebag but you are blocking 15-25 foot behind you with those little shits up there. Move the ladders 6 feet off the curb like they are supposed to be.
I'm a ladder supporter (kids) and agree. It's better for the kids too because cuts down on beads to the face.

Why not keep on the neutral ground? I parade with some families that have ladders and stepstools and they keep them stationary and the kids have no issue catching stuff
