a couple of Taiwanese grad students came on a field trip I was leading and they spotted a snake swimming by in the river coming out of Cades Cove.
They wanted to know if it was poisonous, it wasn't and that disappointed them because,' Poisonous good eat, not poison don't taste good."
Other students just stared at the snake and at them.

I saw this video the other day. The cobras swimming in the water looked kinda funny. I guess I’ve never seen them actually swimming

I worked with a lady from Taiwan. They eat snakes. They have vendors on the street. You pick out a snake, pay him, return later, and pick up your dressed and packaged snake. It's like a snake, street butcher. She said boiled snake taste like fish and fried snake taste like chicken.
