As someone born and raised in Wisconsin, it threw me because there's a small town just outside Green Bay named Denmark.

That was my first thought, but the call came in 11 minutes after closing time, so I get why it would be assumed they were alone.
It doesn't look like a very big place from online photos, so I guess someone outside could have heard the shots, gone back in and called from there.

That happened in my last year in dental school down there. There was some fricked up shite going down with NOPD during the early 90’s. Reminded me of that Dennis Quaid movie The Big Easy.

A customer who had been drinking for awhile before going to the bar goes into the bar, she serves him. She is friendly to him in away he sees it as her flirting, he starts to become somewhat aggressive. She calls her husband to come in and stay in the bar with her until the close because there is a drunk man who is really creeping her out. Husband gets in there, the customer does/says something to the server/wife.. the husband confronts the customer, who is drunk. They argue and the customer tells him he got something for them. Goes outside, comes back in with gun. Shots them and bails.
