They're strict, but not gunless.

Anyone know what they do with the dead cats?
Apparently they remove the hide. According to my research there are a variety of ways this is accomplished.

This sounds like a great way to help save native species. You can't kill too many feral cats.

They have 2.4 MILLION feral cats. Cats live 15+ years. No one is waiting 15 years to fix such a huge problem.

They make good bait for crab traps....or so I've heard.

You would, no doubt, kill a Maine Coon...

Really, as long as the cats and dogs survive, I’m good. I’m partial to squirrels and marine mammals as well. You have to be a super doosh to hurt em.

If it makes you feel better, what's bred in the forests of New Zealand are no longer simple feral house cats as you think of them. They've bred so much in the wild that they're pretty much evolving. frick 'em.

They still kill after released. The cats aren't fricking the native wildlife to death.

People underestimate how tactful a cat is. All it takes is for a cat to see a bird land in the same place twice and a trap is set. Our 2 outdoor cats are not that smart or cunning but they have killed a lot of song birds in this area. Well fed cats. They just like killing. May just eat the brains of the birds, but never touch the body.

This reminds me of the show Killing It on Peacock about a contest to kill non-native snakes in Florida, starring Craig Robinson and Claudia O'Doherty.
