re: Anyone here drive a 4Runner? - toofache
Its got dings, hail damage, scratches. So anytime we have to go to the airport to park, this is the car we take so that we don't worry if it gets hailed on, bumped into, etc. in the airport parking lots....

re: Anyone here drive a 4Runner? - toofache
We currently have a 2001 with 250,000 miles. This is our airport car. 2007 with 180,000. This was my wifes daily driver until she got a different SUV. It gets used in bad weather. 2016 with 75,000 miles. This is my daily driver. If the 2016 had the option of the V8 like the 2007 it would p...

re: My mother is going to lose her doctor over the vaccine push... - toofache
My wife is a pediatrician. She doesn't take patients who won't immunize (normal childhood immunizations). It has to do with trust. If you don't trust her for this, then you probably won't trust her for anything else and it's better for everyone to find a provider who's philosophy is more in line ...

re: Root canal question - toofache
Without actually doing an exam and seeing X-rays, its tough to diagnose. But, if you had swelling around a tooth and the swelling and discomfort went away, AND assuming it was because of the tooth, then the following could have happened. The tooth is dying/dead and the bacteria in the root can...

re: My dental cleaning experience today - toofache
[quote]I’m a general dentist so I DO see the hygiene side of things and I can tell you that on occasion a patient will need SRP, but more times than not, when a chain office would measure 2 4mm pockets and tell the patient they can’t have their teeth cleaned today because they need to send pre-autho...

re: My dental cleaning experience today - toofache
I'll try to answer a few of these questions in one post. 1) Insurance companies are in the business of making money. There are varying degrees of coverage. Dental necessity has no bearing on whether a certain plans covers things. Some only cover cleanings and xrays. Some really good plans co...

re: My dental cleaning experience today - toofache
So much Lulz in this thread. I’m an oral surgeon so I don’t deal with the hygiene side of dentistry, but if more people would get the SRP (deep cleaning) when it’s indicated then I would be pulling a lot fewer teeth. Excluding wisdom teeth, I pull way more teeth due to periodontal disease th...
