Same, I was disappointed the golden band didn’t participate in rex.

RA's other local parades are Proteus, Chaos, and D'etat. None of them are known for shimmering glamour, but rather, old-school bright paint designs.

I think one of their concerns was how one of their parades would look during the day, and I wasn’t overly impressed with the result. Hopefully they can fine tune some things for next year. I may have had too high of expectations because I think they do a great job with the others.

Bacchus was fantastic.

I have to put Iris very near the top of my list also. As a person who remembers Iris as a parade of grandmothers this Krewes transformation has been extraordinary. Kudos to the Captain. Head and shoulders clear of Nyx and Muses.

I'll go ahead and say the Saturday combination of Iris and Tucks uptown beats Endymion. I enjoy Endymion on TV.

I'll really liked the Rex floats. I find they really pop in some sunshine so the cloudy day didn't do them any favors.

That would be a valid concern because not only is it their first day parade, but it's Rex. People are used to a certain style from Rex.

Wouldn't be shocked. She is as, if not more, sensitive, thin skinned, and prone to butthurt than the Orange man.

Endymion and Nyx should get a pass since they were canceled mid-route.

I had a couple people in D'etat tell me they were explicitly told not to take direct shots at Da'mayor but that could just be bullshite.

Is there a website that shows all the floats?

Rex - Was extremely disappointed with the new Royal Artists design of the parade.

Couldn't disagree more. I thought the floats were much better from RA. Of course, I like the work they do in the other parades they handle.

My top parades:
Hermès

As far as throwing less, I can't speak for other riders but I splurged on a parade pack of throws and I had a ton of stuff, still a whole bag left even after the parade ended.

LMAO funny story.

I showed up late on Friday night and was walking to St. Charles and turned down Barrone St near Le Pavillon to cut through. All of the sudden I see the entire parade heading my way with maybe 5 other people on the entire block with me.

I keep walking down Barrone and waving at the floats, my group got PELTED with throws. I got an entire pack of those purple silicone blinking beads. Riders were handing off entire bags of the signature throws to us, glow sticks, everything.

Next year I'm just going to head down to the end of the route. It's empty and the krewe is unloading whatever they have left it seems.

Do you lose or gain points for people dying/seriously injured by a float?

It hasn't been mentioned yet, but I thought Morpheus was really good this year.

Always two best, but I love the satire ones.

Didn't feel the same without the tandems.

Most overrated parade ever. I genuinely don't understand why so many people obsess over it.

No mention of Tucks, but it was fun as always. Best part is seeing the trees on Napoleon lined with toilet paper on Saturday afternoon.

I think Toth gets the love because part of its route is non-traditional and there was a big push after Katrina to keep it going that led to a huge boom in membership.
