CBS national news said climate change is causing this
Which is all bullshite.

The whole low river, saltwater intrusion problem is because of the drought conditions upriver in the midwest. The climate change brigade pretends like the midwest hasn't experienced periods of drought ever since Americans started moving west. Are they going to claim the Dust Bowl in the 1930's was caused because of manmade climate change too?

There is plenty of water everywhere.

But i dont think they should keep downplaying it. Let people stock up in case. Because if something where to affect the drinking water, there will be much more panic if people aren't ready. You cant trust New Orleans with anything.

Uh it happened last year

It actually happens to some extent almost every year with the saltwater running up river near the riverbed as the flow of the river slows.

I've caught redfish and croakers fishing the river in Arabi a few times late in the summer months.

they maintain about 30% flow rate from the Mississippi into the Atchafalaya, could they not reduce that.

It is mandated by Congress to divert 30%.

don’t worry it’s fine just keep a little extra water on hand.

If it's hurricane season and you live in New Orleans - you should probably have extra water on hand anyway.

I bought zero waters.
