He probably doesn’t have a license because it was suspended due to unpaid tickets and/or back child support.

Absolutely. We all forget things from time to time. No one is faulting him for that.
The frustration is that an official school ID is held with the understanding that you have supplied primary documents to get it. Hundreds of thousands of LSU students and faculty have gone through that office and they were all required to show valid ID.
What's the point of this photo op? Just to say he's the top dog so he doesn't have to follow the rules? It's kind of weird.

Are we sure he has a license and not one of those things that says NOT A DRIVERS LICENSE across the top? Maybe he was embarrassed to whip one of those out, especially after he drove himself there.

How many show up with a entourage of school officials and camera’s documenting their first day.
There is also a 0% chance we’re turning away athletes who forgot their ID
All in all, great moment for people obsessed with people being obsessed with race but definitely don’t care about it themselves to get upset.
Everyone else may just see a somewhat humorous event.
