Didn't police find his shell casings on scene? If so that kind of shatters the "catching the casings" theory. Seems like his gun just jammed.
However, I wonder if it was some sort of homemade or 3D printed gun. They might not be reliable, but they aren't traceable.

Or a young doctor who's practice and life was ruined when UNH allowed Change Healthcare to be hacked and our incomes went to zero for 2 months. These shitbags have put countless doctors and hospitals out of business this year and no punishment.
There are a lot of doctors high fiving over this one. Just being honest.

A pro would have done it with a suppressed sniper rifle from a window or rooftop a block or two away. Any reverb from the shot would make it hard for bystanders to pinpoint his location and would have given him plenty of time to vacate the area undetected.
And Mr FBI guy, I’m obviously not involved.
This is going to end up being someone whose wife/kid died or whatever bc they were denied some treatment or wife/side chick hit.
Guy definitely wanted to see the lights go out.

Seems like the shooter would need inside help. The investors conference has been scheduled for weeks and anybody could find the location.
But, how did he know Thompson was at another hotel and that he would arrive early?

It was personal. He researched his method. His emotions kept him engaged, hence not running.

Explain the various racking the slide all you want. A pro piece would cycle.

Why would a pro shoot him in the back of the leg on the first shot?
Might prevent target from running away?

Wow. That’s uh, pretty scary.

Agreed

Three live 9 mm rounds and three discharged 9 mm shell casings were found at the scene, as well as a cellphone near the scene.

Was that a lady on the right side that hauled arse after the shooting? She would be a great witness.
I would have ran, made a quick u-turn, get on his blindside and do a tight headlock on that pos.
I would have hauled arse in any direction that seemed like it offered an opportunity to save my damn life.

Mom or Grandma definitely got rejected for life saving $200,000 surgery and taking it out on them. Maybe this changes thing, nah, UH doesn't care. They'll replace him tomorrow and things will go on as is.

Putting one in the back of the head would've been way more effective than the leg.

Maybe he wanted the victim to know that he was being murdered.

I would leave these as a red herring.

Imagine working for UNH and showing up to work in that building tomorrow and the mood in the building. Also the fact that there probably is some legitimate reason that this guy would kill UNH CEO. The unmorality of health insurance and the subtle feeling in each employee that maybe this guy or this company does deserve it.
