I came here with a simple observation and the cult took offense to it.

What cult?
And driving by a few car lots in one city is a pretty lame way to try and show an economic trend.

It was a hell if a lot better than it is now. And multiple economists said the Biden economy was strong.

Are maybe, just maybe, car
Manufacturers have finally found the ceiling for their products? I’m not denying the economy could be much better, but vehicle prices are insane and I don’t think they are a bellwether by any means.

But another factor is that people have stopped repairing their things,

They've stopped maintaining things. Oil and filter changes, tire inflation and rotation. For the home, cleaning lint filters, cleaning out HVAC drain lines/pans, trimming bushes away from home equipment when you're supposed to, changing air filters at least twice a year instead of every few years, lubricating garage door opener parts, making sure your refrigerator, etc have sufficient cooling clearance, the lot of it. All of that requires what in tools, $30 worth?

Trump’s policies or did you conveniently forget the$2 Trillion required to rescue the Covid shut down economy?

I didn't think Trump should have shut down the economy, which wouldn't have required bailing out the states Trump strong-armed into closing down.

They would have never stayed closed that long had they not known they'd get a fat federal bailout, too. They knew they were getting bailed out by the feds so there was only an incentive to stay closed, longer. Many states used the windfall to shore up things like public retirement and non-economic frickups they had built over decades, too.

It’s a bellwether but there were Covid related supply issues even into 2023.

Not the ones I see. They’re loaded with full-size trucks and large SUVs.

Tell that to Toyota, lol. They have nothing on the lot. They have waiting lists for RAV4s. People are ordering cars from Toyota not buying them off the lot.

New car sales are up 3.1% year over a year for Q3. Pretty sure you don’t know what you’re talking about.

Pretty sure you don't. With car prices up 21.6% and sales up 3.1%, please do the math.
