Wages have been flat for decades and now car prices are what 40-50k on an average so the average family would have 80k or more in car cost? That’s fricking insane.
But you missed the actual bellwether, boat prices. You have to have a car in the south at least to get to work etc, but a boat isn’t a requirement, nor is a RV, beach condo, etc.
Look at used boat prices and repos. You can’t get loan value now or give away a beach Condo, my home value is down 350k from 3 years ago. My buddy at big pawn store quit buying diamonds and jewelry as can’t resell at any price. Just takes gold, prefer ls melt downs. Business is booming.
We are heading into a recession no one can stop. Buy gold now, sell stocks thank me later l

I don't support Democrats and I didn't support Trump's policies in 2020 that caused massive inflation and screwed up our economy, nor do I support his bad economic policies now.

people complaining about the economy on their $1200 phones sipping on $8 lattes are my favorite

Same. More soccer moms than ever require a new Suburban or Escalade.

I have plenty of disposable income to spend on a new car. I just won't. Car dealers are out of their damn minds.
A similar car with 10k miles is 5k less. More depending on the car.
My 2022 runs just fine even as it approaches 100k miles.
Also, I'm not selling my house because I have a 2.25% interest mortgage and if I wanted a similar priced home it's $1000+ more a month.
No thanks.
I AM spending money to upgrade my home.
So I guess that's helping.

Im sure the economy has something to do with it but most people aren't financing an $80k car whether they have the money for it or not. It's a depreciating asset.
I don't feel sorry for companies that are out of touch and make stupid decisions. If we have another 2008 meltdown in car companies then we should let them go bankrupt.

Their name is Token Boogeyman. They are everybody and nobody at the same time, like a phantom.

New car sales are up 3.1% year over a year for Q3. Pretty sure you don’t know what you’re talking about.
Now do the 10 year annual trend. I started this thread based entirely on driving down dealer row on Airline daily for years. A quick Google search returns tons of articles and reports suggesting I'm not wrong.

New car lots are far from economic bellwethers. Some more unique (and accurate) bellwethers to review are cosmetic sales, underwear for men, and snack purchases.
+ truck nuts
+ strip club revenue

Correlation does not imply causation. If anything, overflowing new and used car inventory (especially this time of year) is a harbinger of things getting back (slowly) to pre-covid normalcy.

I used to be a lobbyist, if you think there are two parties you are part of the problem, I can promise you that’s just an illusion created to keep you working and a sheeple. There is power only. And the elected officials don’t have it they have they have the appearance of power.
Too many people think when they have a million or five they are part of the elite of some shite. You aren’t. 20 million think again. 100 million get serious bitch. A billion probably not,
It’s come from having money, and influence but for long periods of time. Elon Musk probably isn’t in top 1000. (He was compromised long ago)
The real names aren’t easy to find and that’s intentional but the families are obvious.
So you are richest guy in your town or parish so u think you are special, or you live in a mansion on a hill etc, you aren’t and I am not ether. Best we can ever be is part of the fixer class. Their high end bitches, that have to see how dark all the shite really is. (It’s not fricking worth it now matter what you get paid or make. It’s like being mind raped you are never the same.)

retarded prices for new cars, many of which have serious issues
Gotta be some percentage of it. People that know cars realize that upgrading will be buying a problem they don't have.
Whatever they buy will be less reliable than the one they've got.

Maybe he can add that 4M back to the welfare rolls for you.
You should post on your Insta and ask him.
