House next door had an estate sale last weekend that was supposed to start at 9. At 6:30, I saw someone walk across my yard so I looked out the window and saw there was already a line. By 8, it was 20 people deep.

Neighborhood has one everyfrickingyear. I loathe it and one of the reasons I may move away from a neighborhood. I will never understand Fools scurrying around for other people’s crap. People driving from far away in car piles full jumping out and power walking house to house. Nope nope NOPE.

We had a small garage sale in BR before we moved, advertised as furniture and bikes. People showed up 3 hours early and hollered at us because that's all we had. Evidently we ruined their day. They certainly ruined mine.
And we wound up calling Salvation Army anyway.

We did one two weeks ago and made over 1k for our family, about $1,900 total that included 2 other ppl. Most of ours was baby/kids clothes we had in totes in our shed.

If you want to see a whole new level of trashy people check out the town garage sale in Duncan OK.
They have one Saturday a year where they hold a city wide garage sale. It's like the people of Walmart but it's clogging your street with crappy cars and feral kids.
