Ariane Trammell is a local artist around Hammond that does those sort of things really well, if she isn't up for it I'm sure she knows someone she can put you in touch with. Would recommend you call or email her, her contact Info is on her business page

Take down most of this post. You've got copyright to think about.

Regardless of how the book turns out, you’re proving to be a successful father. That’s a lot to be proud of in and of itself. Good job, mate!

My kids have done personal storybooks for friends and family. It’s quite time consuming and price depends on the level of detail. You might look on etsy to find personalized storybook artists.

I can help you with all of this. Including the text.

If you have serious questions about publishing/art etc self publishing(which sounds like what you want to do) or soliciting a manuscript to a publisher like Harper collins

Business has really picked up. Might be a while before I can get around to this one.

I worked with Chris Greybe before and he was professional, quick, and responsive to email.

I found him on a graphic arts "bid board," but can't remember which one and don't remember the name.

More than likely they’ll charge per illustration and a decent one will run you about $500-$1000 per drawing.

That’s per page!?

Yeah, per illustration. I had a project I was working on that I ultimately dropped due to price. Wanted 10 illustrations and it would have ran a few grand. Just wasn't smart for a vanity project.

That said, there are tons of artists looking to get their work out there, and also if he illustrations are relatively simple, it should be around $100 a drawing.

Check with author Anne Butler in St. Francisville. Butler-Greenwood Bed & Breakfast. She's written children's books and had a great illustrator. The name escapes me, but I believe her last name was Metz, also from the St.F area.

Found.

Probably a little less detailed than I’m looking for

I thought there was more to it than that... I remember making a crowd of people in the grass and having a banner or something (I remember being proud I could type in rainbow colors)
