If we are lucky.

I am really hoping there is just a ceiling on how high it can go due to Vaccinations and natural immunities.

I expect what will happen is it will continue to rise, the government will bring back restrictions, and it will start falling not due to restrictions but because of aforementioned ceiling...but the government will claim credit, justifying future worthless restrictions.

I have no idea what Fauci said because I don't give a shite about Fauci. I think he's an idiot.

If he said it, he was wrong. It was 40%, and it also shows you don't understand the data and why that isn't in any way a cause for concern.

Anything to sell these vaccines. Delta variant just came out and we already know the vaccine is “extremely effective with 2 doses.” Lol

He said it, then he corrected it.

I realize y'all probably don't believe the correction, so its kind of a mute point.

Delta variant just came out

It has been in the UK for months, which is why this study is out of the UK.

All fine with me. I like to pass time by arguing against misinformation on here occasionally, but I’m not in favor of mandated vaccine, shut downs, etc.

I think for most people, failing to get the vaccine is a bad decision, but I want everyone to have the freedom to make bad decisions.

Nah. The top science guy in Britain, the guy they've relied on from the start, said that. He said 60%, got chastised, then came out and said 40% (which is still a hell of a lot more than is being stated elsewhere).

My main point here is that none of them seem to know what the frick they're talking about.

Is that a point we can't hear? Or is is it a moo point, like a cow's opinion?

How did 23 people downvote this?

Crazy there are so many people are hoping the vaccines dont work in a pandemic. Talk about the dumbest of the dumb.

It is utterly amazing. If Trump had won (and hey, I voted for the guy twice I wish he had), then I truly wonder what the conversations on here would be.

And then corrected it.

You realize that human beings are not infallible and say the wrong thing sometimes? Not everything is some conspiracy theory.

Y'all are now doing the same thing to that mRNA guy.

That guy has no power. Fauci has the power of an entire bureaucracy and damn near a global government behind him.

The MRNA guy is simply a single data point for me, I Don't think he's any kind of Savior or anything of the sort.

I don't necessarily have a camp. I have friends that have gotten the vaccines I have friends that haven't. Some have gotten the virus after the vaccine, some unvaccinated have never officially had the virus.

The only reason people feel so strongly about this is because of the weight that comes from coercion, media pressure and eventual government force.

People that haven't gotten the shot don't want to be forced to, and people that have gotten the shot don't seem to mind forcing people into it.

That's the dividing line, that's what we are arguing about.

They dont have time for that. You likely only have another 5-7 days in rise in hospitalizations before the fall happens

Why is chance of dying your determining factor in deciding whether or not to get vaccinated? Don't you value not having to miss 10 days of work or whatever else is important in your life? What about reducing the chances that if you do become exposed to this virus, that your illness will likely be less severe? I just don't understand the mindset.
