I tested positive for COVID in March 2020...was vaccinated in April 2021, tested positive January 6th 2022.

Neither natural immunity nor vaccination kept me from catching it again...so, there's that.

It’s almost like if we would have let the young and healthy go about living their lives and dedicate energy and efforts to protecting those most vulnerable we’d all be in a much better place right now.

Yea and that’s fine and all, but there is a vaccine that is also effective at reducing mortality with a side-bonus of not Potentially dying from Covid if you have shite-the-bed on the Covid disease severity lottery luck.

The point (2.0) of the vaccine is to reduce disease severity. Or you could not get vaccinated and take your chances.

This whole gotcha thing with anti-Vaxxers is weird and only hurts your side*.

Edit: * Because is makes your side come off as weird and fanatical.

This shite really opened my eyes as to how many double digit IQ bug eating NPC pod people are out there.

You had mfers arguing against things (like natural immunity] that have been known for decades just because the media narrative changed that year.

You have asshats on this very forum arguing for a vaccine that doesnt even protect past 6 months.

You even had these absolute morons saying that if everyone got the vaccines, it would end. As if it didnt already make the jump to animals, as if the 3rd world could ever get 100% vaccinated.

Pure idiocy. Depressing really.

And when the data comes out which proves they were wrong.
They don't admit they were wrong. They just take the new stance.

Now, they are parroting that it improves outcomes, just as the Fed Gov stops counting deaths.
The latest version is a cold, and they are still worried about cases and whether they've had it or not.

If you aren't old or don't have 100 comorbidities, it's not dangerous.
Nobody goes around telling people they had a cold.
Nobody cares.

They admitted this very early on. Remember the plan was to "flatten the curve" not eliminate it. That tells you right there they knew everyone would eventually get the virus. Best case scenario was to buy scientists time for vaccines to protect those with the weakest immune systems.

We did that.

But the ones pulling the strings saw the money and power potential of stretching this out for the rest of our lives.

3% of the population might need to reduce the disease severity

What a fricking joke of course you would claim anti-vaxxers are fanatical—it’s because this is all propaganda and you don’t even realize it

Everyone that doesn't worship at the altar of big government can see it.
Anyone that thinks for themselves instead of getting talking points from Dems/MSM/Social media sees it.
Anyone who enjoys personal responsibility and freedom is beyond ready for this shitshow to stop.

Sadly, the Dems can't win without mail-in cheating in November, and they want power too much to ever let us live in peace.

If you read the article that's what they are saying. They are basically ranking it:

Vaccine + natural immunity
Natural immunity
Vaccine
Nothing

For the specific Delta strain

For Alpha the article data shows

Vaccine
Natural
Nothing

They didn’t have enough time at that point to do vaccine plus natural

Omicron is looking like:

I don’t give a frick you are all getting infected

There's no proof of that, numbers say otherwise...

As well as about a 1/5000 chance of dropping dead from the shot

A belt and suspenders are best to hold your pants up; however, a belt alone is good enough to do it as well. The mandate is essentially requiring previously infected people to have belt and suspenders protection; HOWEVER, the mandate says that it’s acceptable to only have a belt protection if that belt was the vaccine (a belt from the dollar store is acceptable if you chose the J&J vaccine option).

The only people that I know that have caught it twice were vaccinated after catching it the first time. You may have caught it the second time because you were vaccinated after you caught it the first time.

Not saying that’s true but it’s the data that I have.

Anecdotally, it seems natural immunity wanes after about a year. Then, you got your shots, which don’t seem to do much for Omicron. By the time you got it (Jan) I’m sure whatever was left of your natural immunity is spent.

I have yet to meet someone that had a solid case of covid in Feb 2021 or later, that has gotten Omicron.

I, for instance, had covid in March 2021, got the J&J blood clot jab in July 2021, and have yet to catch Omicron despite being exposed to it several times.

Protection against Delta was highest, however, among people who were both vaccinated and had survived a previous COVID infection, and lowest among those who had never been infected or vaccinated, the study found.

Recapping the facts at hand here...

- Natural immunity - good if can obtain it without having a really bad experience or dying to get it

- Vaccine immunity - good, and better than nothing

- Natural + Vaccine immunity - best

The problem with misleading headlines and thread titles is that the dumb people throughout our country (and there are many) will read stuff like that and think "the best thing I can do is not get vaccinated and catch covid", which is 100% false.
