Read the latest Advocate story. They are lining up to back this chick including the Board Chief who is the guy who hires and fires. Unfrickingbelievable that they would support this crook.

Why should he? Nobody he associates with has any requirement that he address the claims honestly. He literally lives in a world where every injustice , no matter how large or how small, can be explained away with a white Strawman. All he has to do is go on a racist rant, and savor the sound of all the "amens". That's how The Race Grievance Industry remains a growth industry, their clients have the lowest ethical expectations on the planet and no need for logical consistency. Just serve em up some Race Bait and it's done. Ooooh Da White Man he be comin....

Sounds like the beginnings of an undue influence case.

Succession of Hamiter codified.

The same breath, C. Denise Marcelle, on the 6 p.m. news told Nakamoto that she did not see anything wrong.
She is the political rep for the Council on Aging.

This. Dumb Denise is unfit to serve on the board if she doesn't see this conflict of interest. She has breached her fiduciary duty to the organization and should be made to step down. It's unfrickingbelievable that a BOARD member doesn't think coercing a 95 year old woman out of $120,000 is a problem. Denise is unfit to serve. Simple as that.

Has WAFB's Diane Deaton commented on this story? She's on the board.

She didn't bank on them going to the news with it. This isn't her first rodeo.

On what grounds is she suing them?

Edit-

Didn't realize the family cut her off at the last and withdrew all the money from the bank to keep it from her.

Frankly that was smart of them as long as they did indeed document it and aren't spending it.

Take this all in (Advocate article):
quote:

Attorney Dorothy Jackson, who sits on the board for the Council on Aging, notarized Plummer's will, which both Plummer and Amar signed. She is representing "the estate of Helen Plummer," and therefore Amar, in court.

"The only statement that I can make right now is that I adhered to all the rules of legal ethics to attorneys in Louisiana," said Jackson, who specializes in elder law and successions and is a professor at the Southern University Law Center. "And I really cannot comment on an ongoing legal proceeding."

Anyone on the Council of Aging should be strictly banned from doing what she did.

They've already been audited and exposed. It didn't matter.
- mismanagement of funds
- over 50% of expenses go to salaries
- their last big project was a total failure

Still got their tax increase.

And broke campaign ethics laws in the process.

Anyone know when their next board meeting is? As a recipient of parish property taxes they must hold public board meetings. I might go.

Dorothy Jackson was one of my professors. In fact, she was one of the professors I had a fair amount of respect for. I can't say I have very much left unless there is an extremely good explanation. I just can't imagine one.

2% isn't outlandish fwiw. But it all depends on the estate and how much work the executor has to put in.
