Did the crook ever release a statement? She wouldn't speak to Chris N. on or off camera.

No, I wouldn't doubt it is she didn't release a statement. I'm very curious about the lawsuit. I'm going to check the status.

Only thing I've seen is this from her FB page on 3/30... nothing since
quote:
This is all I'm going to say, in 2005 God spared my life on I-10 in a car accident with fatalities where I watched everyone involved drivers/passengers die including my 15 year old son. I was the sole survivor, I lived and have realized everyday from that day to this my life has a purpose and mission to take care of those that can't take care of themselves, I've worked on the battlefield for the seniors and improvised since then. In all my days I've never taken or swindled anything from anyone but I have spent plenty of my own money on others and have protected others....
The truth will always prevail.....Thank you for all your calls, texts, words of encouragement, and especially your prayers.....

The state's NAACP has also stuck up for Amar, and said the lawmakers calling on her to resign have made a "premature conclusion of guilt."

this situation reminds me of the Meraux Foundation mess in St. Bernard Parish... old lady whose "husband" was a former sheriff passed away and had lots of land go to a foundation where politicians started drawing a monthly salary out of it and sold it off for things like mixed-income apartments, our hospital, a Super Wal-Mart, and now coming soon, a new hotel.
