I can assure you with 100% certainty a woman with a warrant for DWI in Louisiana can move to a neighboring state, remarry, change her name and get a license there.

your asking if a cop can ignore a warrant for his arrest and just go back to being a cop in his home state with an active outstanding warrant for his arrest from another state in the national data base?

thats not how it works, he gets fired and arrested on the spot and they ship his arse back to the state with a warrant for his arrest

Also, I am not a cop. I was in this exact scenario. Went on vacation to Idaho and got a DUI. Cops are everywhere here in Boise, I was complacent and used to Baton Rouge (not an excuse). Anyway, I thought long and hard about just bailing and taking my chances. But I didn't. It took 10 months but I paid all the fines, completed a treatment program, 8 straight months of daily UA tests and I will get my license back in September. I am still here. thankfully I have have family/friends here to make it all possible. Tell your "friend" to just own it and do the right thing would be my best advice.

So this is an endorsement for registering vehicles as a part of a Trust or Business or spouse/child/parent name instead of individual property then.

I got a speeding ticket going down sorority row at LSU while in school. Guess I forgot to pay and Houston PD or some dept. came to my parents house (address on my license) looking for me. Think I’m remembering this correctly and this ticket was my first encounter with an officer.

They’ll be a bench warrant for his arrest in whatever state he got the DUI. If ye gets pulled over out of state and the cop does a full run on him in the system, it’ll pop up.
