so they went halfway to the moon, turned around and came back?

With that mileage, they can only go a quarter of the way and come back.

Why are they flabbergasted? They can check the mileage that the computer is registering with a scan tool. I bet it’ll say 1270. Probably just a glitch in the digital odomoter.

Well they emailed me a copy of the service papers from when I dropped it off this AM and it clearly shows 1270.

They gave you the wrong car. Someone else is driving around in your new one.

Get ready to lawyer up because you will never be able to sell the thing once it’s tagged with an odometer rollback.

This... Had a buddy buy a used truck that ended up having a rolled back odometer. Truck is basically worthless because he can't prove how many miles are on it.

Everything on cars these days is computers.

You have a faulty chip.

Get it replaced

If you wait, there will be a recall within 5 years.

Except that he can prove the mileage and the authorized dealer will document it.

I probably would have left it there. They broke something, it’s not fixed. Then figure out how they are going to resolve it with corporate. If no help, lawyer up.

Honestly. You may be screwed. No one will want to buy a vehicle that has had its odometer changed. You should consult a lawyer and try and force a buyback of your vehicle.

I'm serious. This is worse than it being in a serious wreck then getting reconstructed.
