Honestly. You may be screwed. No one will want to buy a vehicle that has had its odometer changed. You should consult a lawyer and try and force a buyback of your vehicle.
I'm serious. This is worse than it being in a serious wreck then getting reconstructed.

I probably would have left it there. They broke something, it’s not fixed. Then figure out how they are going to resolve it with corporate. If no help, lawyer up.
Yeah I had to leave to get to do errands and get my kid at school.
I called them while in transit and took a pic of the dash.

that's about the only way you're getting 100K out of a chevy traverse

Do people really get hung up on that stuff? I'm not much of a used car buyer, but back when I was I just focused mostly on cosmetic appearance and function. It's not rocket science- if some guy tells you, "oh, none of the windows roll down, there's a weird dent in the C-pillar, and the radio's stuck on WRBH, but the motor runs great," then you need to move on. Life doesn't work that way.

I just emailed your dilemma to my IT department, they said to completely turn off your vehicle, wait 15 seconds and turn it back on. That should take care of it, if not they’ll have to open a ticket.

If he drives it till it is worth only the value of a driving car (few grand), then it wouldn’t matter. Otherwise this seems like a big deal.

After about ten years of driving.

Well it runs the warranty out.
Also just them fixing it will total the vehicle or at least salvage the title.
This is so screwed up on multiple levels.
What pisses me off is that all I did is take the car in for servicing and now I’m fricked.

Time to get an attorney involved.

If they have to they can replace the gauge/instrument cluster assembly and set the mileage to the correct mileage. It's not going total the vehicle or require a salvage title.
Cluster Assembly - GM (84761081) $252.28
This part fits your 2020 Chevrolet Traverse

VF display digitally displayed
Actuallly, that was a dumb question....the vehicle is virtually new, so of course it digital. Vehicle’s electrical systems nowadays aree unbelievably sensitive. They probably didn’t ground themselves correctly when changing the sensor and that led to some static or something like that. I would expect they will have to change out the gauge cluster or something like that.

The service department rented the shite out of that car while it was "in the shop."

With only 1270 miles I'd tell them to fix it right or replace it. That's less than two weeks driving for me.

Yeah definitely DO NOT take this lightly.
