The ones who push that position sure as hell aren’t Republicans or Trump supporters.
Or they’ve been conditioned to believe they’re not fat, but that’s another discussion

There are way more fat arse conservatives.

Everyone, Republican and Democrat, called that tub of lard fat.

That doesn’t does disprove my point at all

There is a shitload of fat white trash out there, but they aren’t the ones protesting and pushing the “fat is beautiful” mantra.
They are just fatties who are scootering their way through life.
Do people think Tess Holiday is a conservative?
How about the writer of that article that was posted on here that stated that “it isn’t obesity causing diabetes and health problems, but the psychological distress of being called fat that causes them”?
Was that author a conservative?

I actually agree. Shaming folks is a good way to frick people up mentally in the head. Mental health is a huge problem in this country. Everyone needs to love theirself. Part of loving yourself means treating your body well and being as healthy as possiblr, which includes losing weight and avoiding obesity.

As a former fat person, I find myself judging fat people quite a bit now. While getting teased or rejected isn’t fun, people need to realize that they don’t have to/ shouldn’t live that way.
I lost over 60 lbs this year by finally deciding I didn’t want to be a fat piece of shite anymore and decided to do something about it. People will never change if you just keep coddling and telling them lies about how they “look great” or “nothing is wrong with them” when in reality they do have a serious problem that can be corrected fairly easily if they commit to doing so.
It’s like telling a meth addict that they are fine the way they are and that society needs to stop judging their habits.

The OT obsession with fat people is up there with culcha, pit bulls, and ice cream licking.
At least ice cream licking has a victim other than the perp. If someone is fat, it’s their issue to deal with.

People dramatically overestimate their ability to overcome external/environmental influences on individual behavior. In other words, give me Sim City powers and fill my little world with any demographic you can think of; I guarantee I can achieve a 50% obesity rate in a generation.
Everyone likes to think that they’re the special snowflake who could achieve a healthy form no matter what life throws at them. If you think this, science says you’re probably wrong. And even if you’re not, whoop-Dee-doo. Congrats on winning the lottery. Everyone else is fricked though.
Fun fact: access to healthcare is one of the least important factors regarding how long you live. If we spend a quarter of the money on improving our built environment and diet as we did on bullshite medical tests, we’d all be healthier and richer.

I've got an idea. How about just not being an a-hole and shaming anyone or trying to make anyone feel bad?
Posted on 7/13/19 at 11:33 am to diddlydawg7
Part of our obesity problem is that folks think they are eating healthy but in reality are consuming huge amounts of sugar in the process.
The government and food marketing are not doing the general public any favors.
I know as a kid growing up in the 80’s we had a couple fat kids but now it’s a freaking epidemic.
