I agree this social media provoked generational hatred that is repeated daily is quite possibly one of the dumbest things I've seen in quite a while.

Well this isn't true. It's the generation that's paid into it the most and currently receiving their benefits, which happens to be the Boomers today.
In 2004 GW Bush tried to privatize it and the Democrats along with the media kicked the hornets nest by convincing The Greatest Generation and the Silent Generation they would lose their money because its a Ponzi scheme.
They also managed to convince the Millennials they would lose their money because they were too dumb to make adult decisions like investing money on their own.
The idea was dead before it even started.
The sad part is the Millennials that wanted this to go away would have had an extra $250K in retirement savings today and over $1MM in additional retirement savings by the time they turned 65 assumming they paid a minimum of $2,500 a year in SS taxes.

Yeah let's continuously blame an entire generation over the actions of 538 individuals. That makes sense.
How about its no ones fault except for the individual spineless politicians that didn't take up the issue that Americans sent them to Congress to do and the Americans that don't hold their politicians accountable for their actions.
It's also the individual's fault who is looking to blame an entire generation for whatever it is that they are not happy about in their own particular circumstances in life.
31 pages of generational hate and blame in this thread and very little individual accountability.
How about instead of the banter, those that aren't happy with their situation actually ask for advice on how to achieve whatever it is they want to achieve in life.

I did not blame a single generation. I simply stated the fact that politicians along with the media kicked the hornets nest to get two generations fired up on rhetoric. Their was no blame placed in that statement. I blame the politicians for not doing what's right.
I don't blame generations of people for anything and I sure as hell don't blame generations or politicians because I'm not happy with my plight in life. That's my responsibility!
