Dude take emotion away, quit skimming through the posts and read what I'm actually saying. I said the media along with Politicians created a talking point/story to imply that the young workers entering the workforce, who in 2004 happened to be Millennials, did not want the responsibility of investing their SS funds. There is no opinion or judgement written or implied in my original statement. I merely stated the talking points of the time used to kill the bill. I never said these talking points were true.

The reason I even brought up the GWB story was to show that the Greatest Generation/Silent Generation complained before the Boomers. Guess what in another 10 -15 years from now it will be Gen X bitching about our SS benefits being cut. The only difference is we have been told our entire lives not to count on it so shame on those that do.

I'm right there with you in saying SS sucks. I've been bitching about SS since I my first job almost 40 years ago. I have no problem with SS ending tomorrow so long as I get my money back.
