Last month, I had my second injection in my back. This could have happened to me as well but I had mine done at Baton Rouge Rehab.

The incident happened at Midtown… they transferred them to St. Thomas West because some required ECMO allegedly. Midtown doesn’t take ECMO.

Agreed. I read this and immediately thought that system was fricked if the tech could override it. Should have required a pharmacists’ approval minimum. Anything as serious as being injected into a spinal cord should have even higher standards of accuracy

Pharmacy errors are med mal in Louisiana. $500k general damage cap. Passed in 1975 and not indexed to inflation.

I want to know why the tech didnt become suspicious when more than one gave out warnings. She must have overrode the warnings which should have given a mass warning and not allow the override?

I think the vials looked identical. No warning on the K+. Thats what i read.
