Does anyone know if it is SOP not to notify people if the Covid lab test is negative, confirming the quick swab results?

I ask because you want to get the antibodies at least by day 8 of symptoms, day 10 at the latest. We haven't heard back about my Mom's lab test result.

Monoclonal is given based on age or underlying conditions. If she's elderly, she'll call her family doctor and they give her the referrall to a near by center that does the infusion. Very simple stuff.

Two of the three monoclonal antibody treatments that doctors have depended on to keep Covid-19 patients from becoming seriously ill do not appear to thwart the latest version of the coronavirus.

The one such treatment that is still likely to work against Omicron is now so scarce that many doctors and hospitals have already run through their supplies.

Friend of mine in Monroe went and got tested Monday at the ER and tested positive, requested the infusion and they gave it to her. She's 70 but fit as a fiddle and has had the first two shots but no booster. Said yesterday she felt fine except for a runny nose.

Journalism at its finest. You can’t prevent from getting seriously ill if the new strain doesn’t get anyone seriously ill

From the sounds of it, a lot of doctors won't give it to outpatients, but I know some people are getting it before they are hospitalized which seems like the way to go.

So you haven’t even tried to call her doctor or ask the place she tested at

Antibody Effectiveness

My wife tested positive on Tuesday, got the Regeneron antibody treatment yesterday at BR General. Positive test result or close contact with someone who was positive was only requirement to get the treatment. Has not helped very much. Helped my parents much more earlier this year when they had it. So our anecdotal experience aligns with the literature so far.

Start calling hospitals.

A lot of hospitals have a section dedicated directly to it. Some don't administer it.

Time is essential.

I reached out to my wife’s primary care. She gave me the name of two places that are giving the treatment.

Went to Prairieville family hospital. No wait. Took about 3 hours total.

Couple recent studies say that Pepcid and Benadryl (not together) seem to help with Covid

Where are you located?

To find a doctor who will provide early outpatient treatment, visit:
FLCCC Alliance

Search by location. Call and find someone willing and able to treat immediately.

Best wishes for a full recovery for your mom.

I would give a shot. Most new cases are Omnicron which the antibody treatment has very little effectiveness. But remember, just three weeks ago Louisiana was still getting over 2,000 cases a week. That was all Delta. There is still some Delta out there which the antibody treatment works very well on.

My grandfather got it. You have to ask your doctor specifically for monoclonal antibodies, and you have to be able to afford it out of pocket. And then the doctor still needs to decide if you’re at risk enough to warrant using the antibodies since they’re low in stock
