She was born 27 weeks premature and just hit about 29 weeks. Shes beens doing so much better each and every day.

Today my wife and I went to the NICU to visit her and do skin to skin. She was acting funny and we stoped holding her early. She had a severe brachycardia attack but recovered after the nurses and doctors intervened. They performed an X-ray on her and found her intestines were inflamed and perforated. About 20 mins after that she coded, they performed chest compressions and multiple rounds of medications to keep her alive for 15 minutes before performing emergency bedside surgury to release abdominal pressure and stabilizing her. She's stable for the moment...

I'm not religious, I believe in God, but I never relied on asking him for help. I've never felt he influenced the outcomes of this world... I've prayed, and I've been holding back tears to be strong for my wife... The doctor told me best case if she gets through this is to expect minor brain damage, and worst case severe damage...

I don't know what the frick to think or do, I don't want to lose my fricking daughter... I don't want her to struggle through life impaired... My heart hurts so much and there is nothing I can do...

Rest assured of Christian Prayers, Revelations tells us, as did St Paul, prayers are heard and answered, Prayers of The Faithful. Rest assured in our promises, commitment and LOVE, the greatest virtue. Amen

While we don’t always understand the difficulties in life, know that the outcome is what is best for her. Stay strong and know that there will be prayer warriors across the state lifting you and your family up.

I went through the same thing brother. Our first/only daughter was born at 26 weeks and 1 lb. She spent 8 months in the NICU/PICU. Everyone has a different experience in the NICU but if it’s anything like ours you will spend most of your days in the hospital with your infant and it is an absolute roller coaster. Cherish every moment with your baby girl. You will experience the scariest/most joyous times of your life in there and those nurses become like family. My best advice is to be very vigilant and pay attention to how she reacts to everything, positive negative… you will grow a bond and trust with your baby’s nurses and doctors and you become a tremendous resource to them in your baby’s care.

we had numerous occasions like this that led doctors to tell us our baby wouldn’t make it. This happened on multiple occasions where we were told to come to the hospital because she wouldn’t make it the night and she overcame every obstacle while she was in there. They’re fighters! No one’s tougher than premie babies. Hang in there

God bless!! It truly is great to hear she’s doing better each day. That’s great progress! The bigger she gets the more resilient they become and believe me they’ll bulk her up in no time! Prayers for you and your family

Prayers for you & your baby girl. Don't take a single second for granted.

Can’t imagine something like that happening with one of my children. Another example of how blessed most of us are.

Just as Who Dat said it is a roller coaster in the NICU. we spent a 1.5 months in one in Ohio with our daughter we adopted. We were away from our home in Texas for this with no support from family and friends except phone calls. We relied on our faith to keep us strong.

We prayed for her always and what i wanted to happen with a miracle with fast healing didnt happen. But a long battle where we were tested. Cling to your wife and this will make your life together stronger. This will go as God has it planned. We may not like exactly how it plays out but there is a purpose for the way it turns out.
Is it to bring you and your wife to salvation? When we become desperate many times we give up and look to God.
Put your faith in God and you are doing that now asking for prayer. As her father you stand in the gap and pray for her.
Praying for your little girl and for you and your wife.

This is tough, man.

For some reason, I woke up early this morning and can’t go back to bed. I believe the holy spirit is prompting believers to intercede in prayer right now and I’m honored to join others in prayer for your daughter, in Jesus’ name.

One way or another your daughter will not remember this.
She doesn't know or understand pain.
To her this will have never happened and it will only live in your memory.

Prayers sent brother.

Edited to add.... brother is you need to shed a tear by all means do it. Strength isn't not showing emotion.... strength is showing emotion and still being a rock to lean on for others. I promise your wife or anyone else won't think less of you. There is no pain on earth like watching your child go through pain and knowing you can't do anything about it.
