I work from home, but when I got my new work computer, I bought a KVM and now have a work computer and personal computer at my fingertips and just switch between them. That was I don't access personal stuff on my work computer.

Way back in the day, I worked with a dude who got busted for looking at porn. He got a warning, and you would have thought that would have been the end of it.
Nope, the dumbass tried to use a trick to get around the system and got caught and fired.
The best part is that he worked in security.

No email restriction yet but we have strict political restrictions with regards to promoting candidates using work resources

Have always had internet restrictions to streaming sites and gambling sites

This is a good policy. What's your complaint?

I never use my personal email on a work computer and I don’t get on TD on my work computer.

Why would you do that?

It’s 2024. You’re stupid if you use company email for anything personal.

My employers have always encouraged me to be active with the company computers with no restrictions. They have even contacted software vendors to alleviate restrictions.

I am like having an IT lite on hand, don’t mess with the networking but do general troubleshooting leaving the real IT people to handle the bigger issues.

That's standard practice.

They can view everything you look at anyway on Company network as well.

Always blew my mind seeing how many people were trying to hit porn sites during their lunch break, and we saw their names too, as well as trying to stream sports during their shift on company machines as well.

You should never do or use any person log ins on company computers or workstations. Same goes with using personal phones as work phones cause, if it's enrolled, we can and will wipe that shite as soon as you get fired. So that phone will lose all your personal data and nothing you can do about it if it isn't backed up.

If it's your job site, then you are there to work, not send personal e-mails, surf the net for guns, weapons or any other thing they have a policy against.

The last company my wife worked for made it clear that personal e-mails, phone calls, surfing the net on the company computer while at work is frowned upon.

The place she worked for prior had women playing solitaire and other video games, watching u-tube videos, chatting, etc. and little work was being done.

Understood, yet I never play games, go to bad sites, or waste time during the day....now in the evening, I get on TD, do some banking, etc.

I am getting a new Ipad or laptop and kill all personal stuff on my company machine....

Thanks all for your opinions!

Curious to see if they shut down access to TD..

Happened with my college job. Not like a blanket policy change. Nope, I got a nice little email. I remember using btunnel and all that shite to get around it. Babe threads were daily back then.

I had that, enjoyed saying I could not find a vendor to gun drill their product. [blocked] Also led to many people adopting no work emails on personal phones... You want to reach me, you better have given me a phone.

My company has a rifle range so our employees can get ready for Elk hunting season at our Colorado facility. Don’t think they restrict gun related Google searches
