You would, but that’s what left wing nuts do. What makes you think the people that the left are so hell bent on protecting would do any of that? Mandatory insurance is the first that comes to my mind and the list goes on from there.

He is just a racist that wants to strip poor minorities from being able to own a firearm to defend themselves. He wants to charge them a monthly tax and a yearly tax for them to defend themselves.

Or, even worse, spleen wants those poor minorities to call the racist police when they have a problem, only for the racist arse police to kill them for no reason.

Those things didnt stop what happened in wisconsin and wouldnt have stopped what happened in michigan.

You guys want to punish law abiding citizens because of shite stains. We should be getting rid of these people, not putting more laws on citizens that dont break the law.

the car is just an example. Lets go knives, more people in the united states die from a knife than an assault rifle. Handguns no, but rifles yes.

What I'm starting to see with incredible clarity is that the left's positions change on an issue based on who is involved. So trying to follow any "logic" is impossible.

The right, though, generally adheres to the same principles regardless of who is involved.

The rittenhouse and arbery cases are a good example. I think they got both verdicts right, but the left is outraged rittenhouse wasn't guilty, just because he's a white guy and they wanted him to be, despite the fact the law was clearly on his side.

I consider myself a logical person, so seeing these people all over the fricking place with their obvious racism and bias is something.

I considered myself pretty liberal during Bush/Cheney, but think the left is completely unhinged at this point. There is a faction of honest independent liberal media that is calling out the left on their hypocrisy almost better than anyone on the right, like Glenn Greenwald and Matt Taibbi. As Greenwald says, the left loves to say they are for due process, civil liberties, and defendant's rights, but not for their ideological opponents. And the defund the police brigade somehow loves the FBI, CIA, NSA, DOJ when they are turned against conservatives. Free speech? They can't get enough censorship these days.

I hear this argument a lot. This assumes that the majority of our military and law enforcment would turn on their own poeple and that most citizens would not put up an organized resistance.

Why not start with mandatory 10 year prison sentence if you are caught with a stolen firearm and 25 year minimum for committing a felony with a gun?

We already have age restrictions. As far as registration and insurance I wouldn't make it mandatory but possibly offer incentives for doing so on the state level. I don't know what those incentives would be but offer some carrot rather than all stick.

Military and law enforcement would absolutely turn on us. Hell what do you call it when theyre told to stand down while businesses are looted and burned?

As for organized resistance, it would all depend on how hard and how fast the tyranny hits.

Local dept standing down while property destroyed, while terrible is quite different than gunning down your neighbor or bombing an American town. Not saying it couldnt happen but just with the amount of guns and ammo currently in private hands...it would be a hell of a fight imo.

I agree.

I thought the report was it was his dads and they were shooting it. The kid just posted that.

Either way the dad is probably fricked too.
The mom posted that she was taking her son to the shooting range to practice with his early Xmas present.

Please. That dweeb pos wasn't buying a gun on a street corner. Lucky for him his Dad is a total moron.

And as we know from the Arbery trial, redneck America loves to leave unlocked cars full of guns to keep the black market supply real cheap.

had my first gun at about age 8 - I have multiple firearms. I have one next to me right now. My father has had guns since he was the same age as I was when I had my first gun. My grandfather as well. None of us have ever shot anyone, but we've killed a lot of other stuff. This isn't a gun problem.
,Well then, I guess all 8 year Olds should be given 9mm pistols and AR style rifles because nothing bad happened to you. Did you sleep with it under your bed or take it to school too?

Did you know that people drove cars without seat belts and could drink at early ages as well? Should we bring that back?

Yes, because he never said anything about adult supervision.

You really think he was rolling around with a gun at eight years old without his father or grandfather with him?

You're either stupid, or yet again a disingenuous frick. I'll let you pick.

You've never been a reasonable person in any of your posts on subjects like this, hence the reason I'm not treating you like a reasonable person and instead calling you the disingenuous frick you are.

Pot kettle and all that jazz.
