It already is regulated.
The problem is, 99.9% of gun crimes are committed by guns and people that don't comply.
Yes, that is a made up number, but you get the idea. Criminals don't comply. Just ask George Floyd.

I’m all for regulating gun ownership and operation like we do vehicles. Annual registration, mandatory insurance, age restrictions, etc.
That's because you are an utter moron, like every other moron that attempts to use this lame analogy. Annual registration, insurance, age restrictions, licences...all only apply to vehicles driven on public roads and not ownership. If you didn't have the IQ of a potato you might come up with something better, but you are limited like your fellow retard mccgrath.

What type of idiot parent gives a 9mm to their 15 year old kid? Parents who have been brainwashed to believe that more guns in everyone's hands is the only way to honor the God given 2A.
Well, I highly doubt he'd have gone through with this had he known that there would be guns meeting his. Idk, just a thought. But I can understand how someone weak as frick like yourself is afraid of an inanimate object.

The father of the murderer could have said something similar a week ago, but now today he has to admit he allowed his 15-year old son to have access to a gun that he used to kill 4 of his classmates and injure a handful more with.
Didn't know his father should've known how to read minds.

In combination with IEDs it has been shown to be very effective.
I guess he does understand the US Revolution, the French Revolution, and the US Civil War.
When these things happen large amounts of the military will side with the rebels. This also includes all of their military hardware.

Did you know that people drove cars without seat belts and could drink at early ages as well? Should we bring that back?

Spleen obviously doesn't know the meaning of the phrase 'shall not be infringed' or he just doesn't care.

This looks like this was impulsive and did not have a plan. These guys usually off themselves before swat/police get to them.

I've stayed out of this thread because I hate being involved in the whole gun control debate. But I think this is pretty big.
Parents have officially been charged.
From the many school shootings we've seen. Have we seen where the parents have been charged with anything before? Or is this completely normal and I just didn't realize.

I'm also confused how they're being charged if...
Not defending the parents nor am I a legal scholar, but unless they knew he intended to kill classmates and they still provided a gun to him, I'm not sure how this can be effectively prosecuted?

There’s no Michigan law that requires gun owners keep weapons locked away from children. McDonald, however, suggested there's more to build a case on.

I haven't but they should be charged. Any sensible gun owner would make sure their children don't have access to their weapons without them knowing about it.

Oh....so, now we are "holding parents accountable"? Good.
Now, go find the 11 year old "prolific carjacker" in Chicago that I posted about, find his mom, grandmom, aunt, or whoever has responsibility for him, and throw their asses in jail.
Let this be a precedent. Apply it evenly. If not, it is all a bunch of "look at us" bullshite by the DAs.
