Being its my home base I don't have to deal with the rental car/rideshare issues but to drive in, park, fly out & reverse it is very nice and convenient.
that’s a fact
ten minutes max to arrive, park and get in line at TSA, if that. On the way out, grab bag and start the car, five minutes

Most of these people are probably just happy they were able to leave NOLA unmurdered

After a few days MSY is definitely a welcomed sight

Great, now can they get decent flights in and out of NOLA? all these layover flights to places that Houston or other southern cities go direct is a pain in the arse.

Yeah but like someone else mentioned, the rental car situation is atrocious at best.

Still on my shite list for not having enough staffing to have TSA Precheck/Clear operating on Thanksgiving weekend which definitely made a bunch of people miss their flight.

Only reason it wasn't a pain for me is I was able to bypass everyone because I had a kid in a stroller which gets to cut the line.

They NEVER have enough TSA working and maybe staffing it at 20% at best.

Probably, take the survey and get a free bowl of gumbo. Out of towners probably jumped all over that.

Most important factor is MSY is in Jefferson Parish. If it were in New Orleans, half the cars in the parking lot would have their windows busted each night.

I like it overall. Biggest complaint is the pain in the arse to get to the rental car pavilion now. That went from 5 minutes to 35 minutes minimum.

Per square foot, best food of any airport I've ever been to.

Have to disagree about the adequate parking. I've now been forced to park in the old garage 3 times because the new ones were all full. Missed a flight the first time it happened it took so long.

Had they asked an employee that has to park in a filthy, dimly lit garage with only 1 out of the 8 elevators working, and ride in beat to shite busses due to the pathetic condition of Bainbridge they may have claimed last place.
Also, the whole baggage claim/rideshare/taxi pickup area seems to have been designed by a 6 year old and it floods at the hint of rain. That lawn in front of long term parking has also had a fenced off, gaping 20’x30’ hole in the ground for over 2 years. Nicely done.

Any day that you leave the city limits of New Orleans unmurdered is a good day.

Lol. I flew into Kenner after visiting in California. God, was it ugly. And once from Dallas coming home from Costa Rica, well, those folks should have been on a bus.

Urinals lack the splash free urinal catchers (aka Splash Hog).

The airport doesn’t deserve a high ranking based off this alone.

frick that. Their rental car situation is terrible. I have to wait for a bus and then ride for 20 minutes. Just awful.

They were too cheap to build a new rental car area.

Along with the plumbing fiasco that ended up costing thousands to repair out of pure stupidity

I’ve only had that happen around Mardi Gras.
