Every time I see "MSY" my brain immediately goes to Morgan City and I'm like WTF?

Then the Bidenesque fog clears quickly and I realize they are talking about NOLA... then I'm like WTF?

** I'm guessing my association of MSY w/Morgan City comes from weather radar/maps?

Great, now can they get decent flights in and out of NOLA? all these layover flights to places that Houston or other southern cities go direct is a pain in the arse.

That is why I normally fly out of BTR.

What a load, they obviously didn't rent a car

This.
A buddy of mine and I flew in for a game. After a 40 minute bus ride we got to the rental facility and there were no cars. There was a line of people who had reserved cars, but no cars.
We finally spotted a truck that had a windshield wiper up, which meant there was something wrong with it. I told them I would take it anyway (it actually ran pretty good).

What a load, they obviously didn't rent a car and have to travel 15 by bus to get the car, than try and find the drop off and get to the terminal. For a medium sized airport its meh at best

That bus ride is the worst. How can such a short distance take 30+ minutes on a bus, it feels like going on a tour of Kenner or something

But the skyclub almost makes up for it. The guy always behind the bar has the heaviest pours of any skyclub I’ve been to.

Did they vote on LA DODT and metro N.O. for building the airport and forget to build a road to it until after. That's a damn mess and stupid of them. They built infrastructure AFTER, not first.

How can that be the airport fault - it’s the rental car company

You have city and parish laws, labor rental and tax laws, you have taxi unions restricting supply, there are a ton of things that aren't readily apparent.

You don't think Avis wants to make as much money as possible?

If anyone has followed travel ratings like Skytrax, they're worthless. Hobby is rated as a five star airport. ROTFLMAO. You know the other five star rated airports (at least in Europe?) Rome, LGA, EWR, IST and Munich. But yeah, Hobby sure ranks up there, amirite? At least they didn't give themselves the indignity of listing LHR or CDG as a five star.

I've helped respond to questionnaires from third party rating companies for IT and consulting services, and their vetting process is total crap.

The construction was a mess. It's worse than people think and involves a lot more than just the plumbing that made the news.

There is currently floor to ceiling scaffolding in the terminal. That is not normal for a new building.

Just went through MSY recently. Agree, great airport. But for a city as colorful as New Orleans, I was struck by the amount of plain white, all over.
In desperate Need of some city flare.
Some Purple, Green & Gold would be a good start

Traveled to multiple destinations, only seems to occur at MSY. It's an unfunny joke.

I recently had a layover at Hobby in Houston. My new favorite airport.

It’s a 3-minute walk from where I park to security at Hobby, too. For $10 a day. No reason to go to IAH.
