Please correct me if I'm wrong but, can't Deacons do this?

Retreat begins tonight or tomorrow. Our Parish priests are on the schedule for daily mass but Tuesday-Thursday is communion service or visiting, non-diocesan, or retired priest.

Just cremate and be done with it. You don't need a middle man.

2) I am going to guess your family is not a frequent/regular attendee of Mass and parish activities. You say your mom attended daily. If so her priest will pull away just call him.

There really is no availability. Called the BR Diocese and was told the same thing. I am usually very supportative of the Church, but this is ridiculous.

I’m pretty sure all dioceses in the state are at the retreat.

But you could put her in a cave, wait three days and three nights and see what happens.

Might get lucky.

And I am sorry for your family having to go through this.

I think only active priests are on that retreat. A retired priest may be available.

Uncle was a Preist, family members do adoration in the middle of the night every week.....very devout family. That doesn't matter in this case. I think we may have found a retired priest. Deacons are not an option in this case as it would not be her wish.

First mistake. Never call the diocese they are a bureaucracy that could teach the federal government how to do things slowly.

Call the priest directly, on his cell phone.

Call your church, someone on the admin staff, they will help you. They did not go on this retreat.

Call the priests and tell them you don’t feel comfortable waiting more than 3 days to bury her because you’re worried she might come back to life.

They can’t tell you that’s impossible
