Why don't you just set a fricking price, email them what it is, and tell them to cut the fricking deal or you're gone?
Seems simple. Car dealers are scum, the internet has changed things. They don't deserve a negotiation.

This is all it takes. Walk in with a non negotiable price that is fair ($500 over dealer cost) and they will take it. Every time.

Because without research on the value of that vehicle, they may end up REALLY happy with the price you email them.

Seems like he knows what he wants and how much he wants, I wasn't responding to OP here.

No reason for this, dealers prices are available all over the Internet.

About $1500
Wanted a particular car and found the only one within a day's drive. Not mad at the deal at all.

I can see you're a great negotiator.

Most money you've negotiated off a new vehicle
Usually this is the complete opposite, people get upside down on loans, etc. A new vehicle depreciates 20-30% in value right after you buy it.

I did that. They aren't where I want, but they're at where I'll take. But since I'm not in any big hurry to get it done, and that dealership is in Houston. The one in LC didn't have tthe interior I wanted in the original car I wanted to buy. GoingmMonday to

What car?
I just researched a good bit and some dealers don't even offer up all the rebates available. Made for a quick walk out.
A few dealers are advertising sales this weekend.
