Defensive Starters Out

Posted by silstang23 on 9/15/19 at 3:58 pm
Glanced at an article this morning about defensive starters out for the game. Who were all the starters? Think it was like 6 or 7
So “shopping”. Has does that work and affect my credit score? I filled out an app with Bancorp South today and an hour later got email notifications from a couple credit monitoring companies that they have checked/requested my credit. Is it ok to shop and fill out apps with other lenders? Think I have read in situations like this it is ok to have several inquiries when shopping for a mortgage or refinance.

FYI Bancorp South numbers he gave me:
15yr fixed 3.5%
20yr fixed 4.0
30yr fixed 4.125
Stevengtiger, are you in the Shreveport/Bossier area? I had someone recommend Bancorp South as well.
I know that is absurdly high. At the time, it was my first loan besides a car loan and I was self employed with a decent credit score (around 710-720). I am no longer self employed. Been with my company 2.5 years now and 800+ credit score. With almost 50% LTV ratio I figure I should get a loan easily but new job length may hinder that. Have read 2 years employed with same company is the minimum.

Shopping for mortgage/refinance loan?

What’s the best way to go about it? Local or online?

Scenario: new construction home built for 330k with 150k down. 180k loan with local bank paid down to about 153k. Looking to refinance for lower interest rate. Current rate 6.25% 20 yr amortization.

TIA!
Lots of people tried. I'm one of them.
Talks shite after every play
I thought new season ticket requests went by philanthropic points not priority points. Anyone have any info on this? My priority points are in 8000s but my philanthropic points are in the 4000s.
Riley starting inside. Interesting.

Texas De Brazil vs Fogo De Chao

Posted by silstang23 on 5/22/16 at 8:20 pm
For those who have been to both, which one is better? Going to Dallas this weekend and haven't been to a Brazilian steakhouse before. Went to O'hana at the Polynesian in Disney World a few months ago and that's about the closest experience I've had to that type of restaurant. Just by doing some quick searches it appears Fogo may have a little bit of an edge (quality of meat), although I'm reading TDB has the better and bigger salad bar. The ol Lady is preggo and she really likes tres leches cake which Fogo has I believe so I'm leaning towards that. Just checking the F&D board opinions on these two places.

Searched a couple threads about these two restaurants. Save the comments about over salted meats. I see nothing wrong with experiencing it at least once.
Did it last year with my 4 yr old son. Nice experience.

re: Destin Condo Recs Needed

Stayed on Okaloosa Island last year for the first time. We now prefer it over Destin because it seems more family friendly and it was great with our 3 yr old. Just a short drive to Destin for any dining or shopping.
Was in Target today and saw those on the shelf. Immediately threw a box in the cart.
When I would check periodically over the last month, flights from Shreveport to Orlando were $445 each round trip. For my family of 3 the total cost would have been $1335. The way I saw it was I got two free flights (each round trip ticket was 20k miles) and paid $350 (needed 10k more miles) for the 3rd ticket. Figured I really saved $1k overall. Like I said, I'm new at the whole rewards/points thing so I was looking for other opinions on what I should have or shouldn't have done.

Just approved for Amex Gold Delta SkyMiles. 50k bonus miles offer after $1k spend in first 3 months and $50 statement credit after Delta purchase. $95 annual fee waived first year. Taking the family to Disney World in Feb so plan on buying our 3 airline tickets on the card to get the statement credit and saving a little money on the bag fees. Anyone have any other advice?

Update: So I put the Disney vacation on my card Dec 21 (was planning on paying cash but needed to spend 1k anyways to get the 50k bonus miles). Went to book my flights yesterday and was surprised to see the 50k miles already credited to my account because it said it'd take 6-8 weeks. Three flights to Orlando costs 60k miles so I bought 10k more miles for $350 and took care of my family's flights plus get the $50 statement credit for Delta purchase. Saved about $1k on the flights. First time doing anything like this so I'm pretty stoked about taking advantage of these credit card offers that you pros take advantage off all the time.

Not to be a dick but you just wasted a pile of miles unless you are flying to Disney from Hong Kong.

Serving twice baked potatoes and bacon wrapped asparagus with my prime rib. Eating in 20 mins.
