I'll believe the infrastructure plan when I see it but dear lord keep those douchebags in the capital as far away as possible or we will have more wasted government spending than we have ever seen. And that's saying a lot.

Move people from southern tier of parishes to environmentally happy zones. Open spaces. Great shopping. Manufacturing interspersed. New towns.

Lets presume oceans rise 8 feet in next generation.

1. Completion of I49 south.
2. BR loop
3. Replacement of I10 bridge in LC.
4. Widen I12 to 6 lanes across its entire length.

5. Comite Diversion Canal
6. Widen Airline Highway in East Baton Rouge and Livingston Parish
6. Old River Control Structure improvements and lock repairs
7. Industrial Canal Lock improvements
8. Causeway bridge lighting, shoulders, and guard rail enahcements
9. Widen I-10 between College Drive and the bridge
10. Expand and enhance airports BTR, LCH, and MSY
11. Mississippi River Channel dredging between Baton Rouge and Gulf of Mexico
12. Repair the 1800 road and railroad bridges that are structurall deficient
13. Widen 190 between Livingston and Hammond
14. Passenger rail service between Baton Rouge and New Orleans

Just off the top of my head of what the state could ask for if the feds are giving out money. I would argue that Baton Rouge could get away with a partial tolled bypass (north) if they can establish a bridge crossing between Plaquimine and southern EBR and widen I-10 through the city.

While this might not be a true infrastructure deal, I wish the state would offer a nice incentive to somehow get a good industrial company to move into the old Avondale shipyard. It has rail, river, and Hwy access and there won't be any zoning issues to fight about.

somewhere in the range of 10-15...

new rail bridges across the Bonnet Carre...make them double tracked and capable of handling a train at 40-50 mph if not totally cost prohibitive...this would be a big help for both passenger and freight rail...

I-10 6 lanes minimum across the state
Finish connecting I-310 to the west bank
Finish the Lafitte to larose highway
Highway 1 overpass over the intracoastal in Larose to replace the money pit draw bridge
Finish the I-49 corridor
BR loop if any money is left after the above

making Airline 3 lane through the entire parish and then some

Airline in parts of Baton Rouge is just a joke. It's still only 4 lanes. The pavement is shot, there are curb cuts in the (too narrow) median every few hundred feet, lights are not well synchronized, and it moves at a snails pace in even moderate traffic.

Where is I-49 proposed to end in the south?

It is supposed to go all the way to New Orleans?

Just wait, a major EPC/JV will buy it up and turn it into a mod yard. Shipping logistics are very important in regards to all of the major industrial projects underway or planned

Will connect to existing Wank expressway.

Most expensive parts left are Evangeline Thruway and Westbank US 90. Probably both billion dollar projects.

It ends up where the Crescent City Connection meets I-10 by the Superdome.
