Electric football was awesome. It was Madden Football of the 70s.
My friends and I played all the time. I saved it for my son and gave it to him 2 years ago. He played for 15 minutes and never touched it again. Of course he has actual Xbox One Madden.

not exactly a toy but
seamonkeys!
The picture showed them doing this.
but they were literally just tropical fish food.
and another non-toy:
I sent away when I was about 12 to learn how to make money through mail order. I got something saying to run ads telling people I could tell them how to make money through mail order.

R-Zone masqueraded as a futuristic video game platform, but it was really just a glorified version of those cheap digital handheld games. Only you wore it on your head.
Not only was it uncomfortable, but all the graphics were red, so it felt like I was going blind after about 10 minutes of playing Mortal Kombat or Batman.
I still feel bad that my parents spent their money on this piece of shite.

Hard to play crossfire by yourself. Sorry you didn’t have any friends baw. Crossfire was awesome.
Compared to the commercial it was absolutely boring.
I mean, I was so pumped after that commercial, my cousin got it, and I went over to play, and it was just a plastic rubber band gun shooting bbs at a spinner.
Anticlimactic to say the least

Yeah the power glove for NES pretty much sucked. I thought it was going to be awesome for punch out but it blew.

My cat decided to have a hairball on top of all the little bearings. It "retired" after that.

The one that came out around 2006. Germany launched an invasion on New York and the US. It was possibly the worst video game ever. I forgot the name thankfully.

Torpedo Run
The game was great the first couple of times I played it, but the board broke at the folds or warped and I couldn't shoot the discs (torpedoes) all the way across the board anymore.

My parents bought me a weather station for Christmas one year. I had seen it in a hobby store. The wind anemometer looked cool but it rusted out after about 3 months and the gear dial didn't work any longer. Also , there was no explanation in the kit how the dial determined wind speed. Even in 1980, $20 didn't go very far.
