Houston made the tourney. Late seed, but hopefully they can score an upset or two in 2027.

What is the source for this infographic?

What factors are taken into consideration to determine a city's "dangerous" quotient?

Is it property crime?

Is it personal crime?

How much does each factor weigh in reaching the ultimate conclusion?

Is a murder worth more than an attempted murder?

Is a murder worth more than an aggravated battery resulting in serious bodily injury?

Does the quality of the medical care available make a difference in whether a city is dangerous?

Some people will point to this source-less, data-less infographic and see demography at play. Otherwise will look at it and see the prevalence of firearms in any given city. Neither will be right. Neither will be wrong.

This is meaningless garbage.

This is the one that stood out to me. Wondered wtf was going on down there.

I'm assuming its the same type of problems that Native American reservations in the U.S. have.

Interesting to see San Juan on there.

Was just in San Juan a few weeks back and had no issues. Even spent some time walking around La Perla

You should read up on what europeans and the UK have done to Africa. Congo, Angola, South Africa to start, but basically the entire continent was pushed into poverty. It’s no surprise they are dangerous places, their resources have been stolen and there’s little to no opportunity for their citizens.

I’ve been to all the cities in South Africa and they are just in the bad areas unlike here in the USA where you can become a victim anywhere.

One theme is constant in the US cities except for Albuquerque which seems to be an outlier of similarities.

If you get all the whites out it’ll become Wakanda.

Look, I’m not saying personal choice to rape and pillage isn’t a thing.

But context is important. If Africa hadn’t been raided by Europeans things look a lot different today.

Memphis leads the South. Didn’t the National Guard clean up Memphis?

This +1. No El Fashir, Sudan or Kharkiv, Ukraine? What about Tehran. I wouldn't want to be in any of those right now.

1. You don't know much about the way African tribal kings ran things. It was no better than and in many cases far worse than Europeans. Really only the Belgians rivaled or exceeded the likes of Shaka Zulu for cruelty.

2. You also don't know much about the slave trade to the northern African nations. It was far more devastating to large portions of sub-Saharan Africa than what the Euros did. The North Africans/Middle Easterners took almost entirely women. It was devastating to the gene pools and even the ability to sustain farming.

3. Everywhere Africans did get paid for resources, tribalism and corruption squandered it.

Buy into mythology if you want to, but Africa has had as long to get its act together as the rest of the world has, and it hasn't. Japan, Korea, China, India, the Philippines, Indonesia, and many other nations have risen from being on the bottom to prosperity. Only Africa languishes.

I lived at least 5 years in two of the top 10 and somehow survived. (Johannesburg and Memphis)
