The established employees aren't hurt by this, but time and again the new hires are the ones vastly affected by it.

No kidding. I'm retired and get to do cool shite outside all day and smoke weed. If I were stuck in the house staring at a computer, I'd rather be at work.

30k would only net me $1,500/month

Same here. I'd put up with my 30 minute commute to and from Lafayette for the extra 30k. Could buy a cheap efficient gas burner to save money too I stead of driving my truck.
This will never happen though, so I am not sure why I bothered even answering.

Unless you people are complete introverts, I cannot fathom wanting to be home all damn day for work.

Before you say LOL I don't stay home all day, you're breaking the actual rule of working from home, so you don't count.

I could see where it could happen both ways.

I would rather get away from the office than have it always there.

It depends on where you live and work. If I could get a New York City salary while living in Tennessee, I would do it everyday. Otherwise I want the camaraderie of the office.

I'd rather home belong to me. I do have a side gig where I work from home but it's a minimal time commitment.

Hell, if I were offered full time work from home with a 30k raise I'd say no.

Work from home..? You mean I don’t have to deal with some no-nothing, low T, low self esteem, suck up upper middle manager’s bullshite all day and their incessant need to “pop in and see what’s up” all fricking day long day in and day out 5 days a week when I can get more done in four? AND I don’t have to deal with morons that should have never even sniffed a driver’s license??

Where do I sign???

If my wifes job transitions to full time remote, we're just going to get a 5th wheel and travel permanently.

I'm going to have to get back into an office soon or I'm gonna go fricking nuts. I've seen my coworkers since March of last year.

im a millenial and i hated working from hime, mainly cause i have 3 kids and they were there.

I could do it once i got into my new house and had an office, but during the summer it would be really tough.

That's another good point.

At the office you don't get interrupted constantly by non-business matters.

Agreed. When working on multiple projects within a team environment, WFH gets depressing very fast when communicating via Slack, MSFT teams ect ect.

I'm part of the 64%. 30k would only net me $1,500/month and I could easily make that up by moving away from an area that I live with higher housing prices.

And you would be contributing to the skyrocketing housing prices everywhere.
