You truly don't see the impact governors & presidents have until a term or so after they are out of office.

When laws are signed, etc it takes awhile to see the true impact, but most people just see what is going on now & whoever is in office either gets the credit or the blame.

But if I am wrong, I am asking this not being a smart arse, I really want to know. What has JBE to hurt the economy?

It’s 2019 almost 2020. Who’s to blame for the one dimensional economy? How come by now you don’t have a diversified economy that attracts and retains talent for all sorts of different sectors?

Rammed through a lot of taxes, signed us up for some costly spending programs like the Medicaid expansion, changed how the state handles tax breaks so that the local boards are now fricking over big business in order to get every dime they can, and making the state a bigger national joke than normal by threatening to shut down LSU, and by extension the football program, in order to get the bloated budget he wanted.

Need more?

To turn that around, what industries are going to expand into LA when you have an ambulance chaser as Governor and the state has shown it will tax you to death and not hold up their end in tax breaks?

Should probably diversify before running your only industry out of town

He raised taxes 1.2 Billion dollars when the state was in recession.

He helped to foster the notion that La. was bad for business when he changed the ITEP rules.

He encouraged law suits against oil & gas.

Now let me ask you a question, what has JBE done to improve the business climate and to create a better economic climate?

JBE is killing oil & gas
Hilcorp Energy owns much of the old
Legacy coastal property and has drastically reduced there’s capex budget because of JBE lawsuits against O&G. He is a joke and thanks to Jay Darden and Scott Angelle for Pushing support to JBE here we are!
Possibly 100 plus Attonery signs
On Hwy 90 in Broussard and Lafayette that say please call that’s all!

Must be a mistake in the number crunching because I've seen JBE commercial and he is claiming the highest new jobs increase since Shep was a pup.

Then why is LA on national employment statistics as the only state to be hemorrhaging jobs the last few years?

JBE hasn’t been terrible (I don’t support his re-election though)

But his economic track record in the state is abysmal

One of the worst Econ records of any governor in the nation

So, he’d be fun to drink a few beers with and watch a game? Lol

You’re wasting your time man, Tboy loathes logic and loves making up random excuses for the failures of Democrats.

The best time to get out of Louisiana was 15-20 yrs ago. It’s almost unfathomable how far behind Louisiana is.
