I want the state constitution changed to allow for across the board tax cuts and not this bull shite to where we can only cut healthcare and higher ed. That law/amendment was enacted to ensure government overreach and expansion continues forever.
Agreed, but every new source of funding is immediately protected because politicians don't want their pet projects/ slush funds gutted. That's not going to change with the governor, it'll take a new generation of state legislators.

Because people don’t understand that if we all chip in a little more, the public schools can improve considerably. Instead, we choose to starve the public system and, as a result, we have to pay $8,000 on private school tuition. Do you think the states with top ten educational systems just have more and better private schools? No. They don’t have nearly as many private schools. They have a tax structure which buys better schools for everyone. So tell me how we save money sending our kids to private schools rather than paying a little extra to raise salaries and improve facilities at public schools?
We went one step further in screwing over public schools with the charter school movement.
The major industrial plants aren't going anywhere. Access to the Mississippi River is worth more than any incentives lost.

Louisiana spends middle of the road per student (somewhere around 27th) for 48th ranked schools. Funding isn't the problem.

Americans aren’t being looked over. Americans don’t want to work. The construction jobs in BatonRouge and across the board pay pretty well and Hispanics are making top dollar. The fact is they show up for work and give actual production.
The Gardere area has a high influx of Hispanic workers. Many Hispanics take jobs entitled Americans won’t take. Very solid work ethic.
