Lol

Why doesn’t everyone starting out in the 2020s just do that? Easy peasy.

Something is definitely askew when an average middle class family can't afford an average middle class home.

My only point is that people bitching about how difficult it is to buy a house now as if we didn’t just live through the greatest decade to ever buy a home are being disingenuous.

Maybe because many people weren’t ready to buy a home until now….age isn’t a frozen thing.

You can blame Biden for that but free money and low rates were in place for years before he took office. Everyone thought that was the norm and it will take a while to get back to reality.

Not to mention the vast majority of the free CoVid money was handed out in 2020 under Trump.

Biden and Trump have relatively little to do with this

The house price to income ratio was fricked up before Covid and was getting worse. Covid just accelerated the trend

ETA - Clinton is more at fault that 45 and 46

While I agree with this in general, basic cookie cutter starter homes costing over 300K for 1500Sqft is absurd.

Brand new homes should not be starter homes. Do what my wife and I did...our first home was a 35-year-old house in a modest subdivision. We made a few upgrades as we could afford them and then sold for a decent profit. Moved up a little in house and then did the same. Now we can afford a nice house in a nice part of town with a reasonable note.

These young couples these days think they need walk-in closets, granite countertops, and the whole nine yards.

Old man rant over.

So its not possible that Covid under Trump wasn't handled well and Biden being a shite president did nothing to make things better?

I know I know, someone will say "you voted for this". That shite is lame at this point, but this whole blaming one president as if other presidents wasn't shite is just dumb.
