Bawcomville is more the style of most OTers. Friendly little suburb of West Monroe.

Monroe easily, great restaurants and decent night life. Great place to raise your kids/family.

alex is only an hour from Lafayette, which has everything you want. Monroe is an hour to Tallulah though

Tough call. They are 1 and 2 in the State do it depends on your wants. Monroe is probably slightly better by itself, but Alexandria gets you closer to better other things.
